Kirk Cameron Says Homosexuality is "Ultimately Destructive to so Many Foundations of Civilization"

Kirk Cameron made an appearance on Piers Morgan Tonight to promote his new movie, Monumental.  Cameron was asked his position on issues such as abortion, homosexuality, and gay "marriage".  In the interview Kirk stated that homosexuality is "unnatural" and that it {homosexuality} is “ultimately destructive to so many foundations of civilization."  This created quite a stir, so much so that former co-stars of his, celebrities, and homosexual organizations have responded with such demonization, character assassination, and outrageous statements which show their utter intolerance for an opinion that differs from their own.

Kirk Cameron has responded to the firestorm of criticism:

“In a recent interview about my film, “Monumental,” I was asked to share my views on homosexuality, gay marriage and abortion,” Cameron says. “I spoke as honestly as I could, but some people believe my responses were not loving toward those in the gay community. That is not true. I can assuredly say that it’s my life’s mission to love all people.
“The only way to properly answer these kind of questions is to begin the discussion with another question: Is life and sexuality sacred or are they not?” he continues. “If they are, then God has something to say about these things. If not, then everyone is entitled to their own opinion on the matter.
“I believe that freedom of speech and freedom of religion go hand-in-hand in America,” he continues. “I should be able to express moral views on social issues – especially those that have been the underpinning of Western civilization for 2,000 years – without being slandered, accused of hate speech and told from those who preach ‘tolerance’ that I need to either bend my beliefs to their moral standards or be silent when I’m in the public square.
“In any society that is governed by the rule of law, some form of morality is always imposed. It’s inescapable,” Cameron asserts. “But it is also a complicated subject, and that is why I believe we need to learn how to debate these things with greater love and respect.
“I’ve been encouraged by the support of many friends (including gay friends, incidentally). Thank you!” Cameron says. “I look forward to those who will join me as I seek to show you our true ‘National Treasure,’ at the live, nationwide viewing of ‘Monumental’ on Tuesday, March 27.”

Cameron is spot on!! I am in full agreement with him.  Homosexuality is destructive to the family and morality.  For any person to claim that homosexuality is "natural" is absurd and false.  Do you call putting one's "jimmy" in an orifice of another's body, a hole which is not supposed to messed with natural?  Just because something fits into this or that doesn't necessarily mean that a certain object or bodily part is supposed to go into this or that hole.  Just because a screw driver is able to fit into a light socket doesn't mean you should put the screwdriver in the light socket.  This would pose a danger to one's health.  Homosexual behavior is a perversion of the sex act.  The homosexual lifestyle is not beneficial to our society in any, way, shape, or form.   There is no possibility that homosexuals are able to procreate, naturally and therefore does not contribute to the common good in our society. It is an impossibility for homosexuals to be open to the procreative act because they're unable to achieve pregnancy naturally. The homosexual act is not in accordance with the natural law.  Children contribute to the common good in our society and are a positive force for society.  Marriage has been defined as being between a man and a woman since the beginning of time. When a man and a woman engage in sexual relations they are open to procreation.  Regardless of fertility issues they are open to procreation and it is a possibility that procreation will occur. They are open to creating another human being for the betterment of society.

Here is the Monumental Trailer.
The trailer looks good.  I hope to see Monumental on the big screen.

Matt @ Conservative Hideout has a good post on this subject also. Please go over and read his post, Great Moments in Civil Discourse: Best Not Believe in the Bible, Ya Hear?

"Just because a screw driver is able to fit into a light socket doesn't mean you should put the screwdriver in the light socket."

A brilliant analogy, which says all that is needed.

Am linking from my blog. Thank you and God bless!

Thank you for the compliment Left-footer. And, thanks so much for the link. God Bless.

I'll be stopping by your blog shortly either via this account or using my tu ne cede account. For some reason I've got this weird glitch when commenting on blogs which have the comment box right below the post. With google chrome I can't comment. Internet Explorer is soooo slow so I don't use that as often as chrome.

There is a way to bridge the gap between loving our neighbor and having a moral code.

They way I see it, if any of my kids turn out to be gay, I will love them. No problem.

On the other hand, I work hard to protect them from being LOBBIED by gay so-called education (indoctrination) at a tender age. The passage of the gay history bill in CA is the worst thing that could have happened to our kids here, ever. Kids should grow up unmolested by the ills of society.

If they find themselves gay as adults, so be it. But we should not ENCOURAGE them to become gay, by teaching gay history in schools or by ordaining gay marriage. That is the difference between gay unions, which I think are fine, and calling it marriage, which implies that society approves. I do not approve of setting up the gay union as something for our children to aspire to at an early age.

On the other hand, I love gays and appreciate their contributions to society in my town and on the internet.

From what i've read, the homosexual lifestyle is also destructive to homosexuals.

The other thing i don't quite understand is why do liberals keep insisting on asking people for their opinions when they can't stand to hear them and get all wound up and flustered by it.

I don't know this Kirk Cameron, but i take it he makes movies, so what does that have to do with his views on homosexuals? He wasn't demanding that gays be rounded up and shot or something, why are his personal beliefs of any importance to these thin-skinned whiny liberals. It's almost as if they're trying to expose them who aren't part of their collective herd so as to badger/persecute them into changing their mind.

I commented there ... I hope I'm not sorry.

Kids do not turn out to be gay. Gay is a lifestyle and a choice.

Here is a young man straight out of Hollywood (or maybe New York) at a very young age, who has it right. He must have had incredible parents.
