Turkey to Toys

I hope everyone had a Happy and blessed Thanksgiving holiday yesterday. Enjoyed the yummy turkey , sweet potatoes, corn, mashed potatoes, green been casserole, pumpkin pie and more? Anyone brave the crowds and go out on Black Friday? I have been thinking about how toys have changed over the last 35 years. My favorite toys were Barbies, the Memory game, and Transformers. What were your favorite toys growing up?

Has President Obama Committed Serial Fraud?

Andrew McCarthy a top lawyer who prosecuted the bombers after the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center appeared on the Kelly Files and said:

If ever there has been a fraud on the entire American people it’s this one. And, I would say, Megyn, this business about, “you want your plan, you keep your plan,” is just the beginning of it… We’re talking about serial fraud on multiple levels and multiple level misrepresentations… This is an ‘in your face’ almost a crude fraud… The remedy the Framers gave us for reigning in executive excess especially if it gets this abusive is impeachment. Impeachment is a political remedy not a legal remedy… This is a big scandalous scheme and the more you look at it, systematic dishonesty is rife all the way through it.”

Former Federal Reserve Official Admits BIG Problems With QE

From CNBC
There's a real question as to whether the massive bond-buying program known as quantitative easing was worth the cost, former Federal Reserve official Andrew Huszar said Tuesday.
"I think the real issue is that the Fed has expanded its tool kit so dramatically, and really there are some real questions as to how potentially it unwinds, when it unwinds," he said. "We saw this past summer there was this announcement of potentially a taper and the markets actually tanked, and after that the Fed backpedaled. What's going to happen if we go on for months, years longer?"

In an Op-ed in the WSJ written by Andrew Huszar he says
I can only say: I'm sorry, America. As a former Federal Reserve official, I was responsible for executing the centerpiece program of the Fed's first plunge into the bond-buying experiment known as quantitative easing. The central bank continues to spin QE as a tool for helping Main Street. But I've come to recognize the program for what it really is: the greatest backdoor Wall Street bailout of all time.
Huszar and a number of other Fed managers expressed concern that QE wasn't working the way it was supposed to. But nobody listened. So Wall Street was given a huge advantage under QE earning a huge bundle of dough from commissions and reaped the rewards of gigantic capital gains on rising values of securities holdings. Unfortunately QE didn't help the average U.S. taxpayer one iota. This is a very good reason not to mess with the free-market system. When government tries to manipulate the outcome in the market it only ends up making the problem worse. Now it is going to take a long time for the market to level out and be normal because it was screwed with for political purposes. says that the Fed and Wall Street are in collusion and I agree. QE needs to end immediately. The Fed wasted $4 trillion on QE which produced meager results.

Book Recommendation: Akhmed and the Atomic Matzo Balls

Akhmed and the Atomic Matzo Balls: A Novel of International Intrigue, Pork-Crazed Termites, and Motherhood by Gary Buslik is a great book that I really enjoyed reading.  It is political comedy, satire, and drama all rolled into one.  The first page had me totally laughing my butt off. If you want to or need a laugh this book is for you. The book is full of intrigue, having you wondering what's going to happen next. This book is great and hilarious. I highly recommend you read Akhmed and the Atomic Matzo Balls

Here is the description from Amazon

Iranian president Akhmed teams up with the leaders of Venezuela and Cuba and their American intelligence agents to smuggle radioactive matzo balls into Miami Beach. But intelligence being as slippery a concept to these nincompoops as chicken fat on linoleum, when each member of the gang decides to ladle out his own personal nuke soup, holy terror Akhmed is left steaming. Will his plan to destroy America float like a fly or sink like a lead dumpling?
Star-crossed lovers, conniving academics, and blustery social climbers collide with ravenous termites, international do-badders, and multi-level marketing in a plot as fast-paced and hilarious as a runaway mountain bus. Radioactivity has never been so much fun.
