John Murtha, Congressman from Pa, has died today due to complications from gallbladder surgery. He died at the age of 77. "He died at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, Va., spokesman Matthew Mazonkey said." Since I don't have much good to say about the man and don't want to speak ill of the dead, I am just asking everyone to pray for his soul. I am keeping his family in my prayers. Now, we can elect a moral person to Congress in his Pa district- Johnstown, Pa.
Teresa, I don't know. You're a better person than I am if you can do that. I'll not stir up my contempt for this man. I'll let it die out - today - but that's all.
ReplyDeleteRhod,
ReplyDeleteFor today, I'll be nice and respect the dead. Sometime soon I will email you what my mom told me today. She said what I was thinking.
Rhod,
ReplyDeleteIf you ever would like to do guest posts here just let me know.
Well said Teresa. As a former resident of SW PA, I know that Murtha was infamous. So, I will do as you ask.
ReplyDeleteMurtha was a war hero, but when he began to call some of our fighting men war criminals, he lost my respect. May he rest in peace. I've got a short post on him tomorrow also.
ReplyDeleteDear John,
ReplyDeleteGod's speed. Hope you find the peace you were seeking down here up there.
Thanks for your service.
Eric
Mama used to say, "If you don't have anything nice to say about somebody, don't say anything."
ReplyDeleteThat ends my commentary on Murtha's long overdue passing.
Matt,
ReplyDeleteThanks. I will be nice today.
Ron,
ReplyDeleteMay he rest in peace.
Eman,
ReplyDeleteYour right. Thanks for his srvice to our country.
LL,
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree with you more.
Yup.
ReplyDeleteHe's dead.
I'm willing to take the higher road. I just hope his death does not inspire some crazy spending project.
ReplyDeleteTeresa,
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by my web site earlier and leaving a comment. I appreciate it!

I won't speak ill of the dead, either. Neither will I won't mourn over him.
Wonder how all those redneck racists in the Country are responding to his death? Don't blame me that's what he called many Americans. VN8
