Chris Christie is My Hero: He Tells a Teacher She Doesn't Have to Teach
I love how Chris Christie tells it like it is and is going after the teacher's unions since it is self-evident that some of the teachers are incompetent and inflicting their failed teaching policies on our kids. The teachers who are beholden to teacher's unions are doing an injustice to our kids, and causing a cycle of ignorance. The failed policy of throwing more money at the schools and the unions must stop! That simply isn't working!
You said it T, this guy's like the neighbor on the bowling team, and that "Cycle of Ignorance" is real.
The nation's schools need another "Jersey" man and that's 'Joe Clarke' and his 'big stick' to smack some sense...oh I forgot, we can't hurt anyone's feelings anymore ;(
With you on this, we all want to pay good teachers good money, but only what's fair and more importantly, what's affordable. We can't just pay based on feelings. Go Christie.
A good teacher deserves more money than they make, but a poor teacher does not deserve the job. It would be nice if their salaries reflected their job performance.
I saw that this teacher who complained makes over 80K per year. What!
ReplyDeleteTerese, he's my hero also. Every state ought to have a Christy for gov.
ReplyDeleteIt is so refreshing to hear a politician say what he thinks honestly.

ReplyDeleteWhen you calculate the vacations and summers and working less than 8 hours per day, teachers are often making the equivalent of 6 figures.
ReplyDeleteOPie,
ReplyDeleteHow ridiculous! I'd teach for half that amount.
Rotti,
ReplyDeleteI agree!
Odie,
ReplyDeleteHe is refreshingly honest.
Ray,
ReplyDeleteWe need many more Joe Clarks in our classrooms.
MK,
ReplyDeleteExactly. Sometimes teachers go overboard with what they think is a fair wage.
Trestin,
ReplyDelete"It would be nice if their salaries reflected their job performance."
I agree! But unions would never allow for that to happen.
Peter,
ReplyDeleteYou make a great point! Teachers do have a lot of days off. Teachers should be thankful for having those days off.
