Life's Detour -- A Poem By Teresa Rice

I had a bit of an emotional morning. In the midst of looking for something else I came upon some information on adoption and tears started running down my cheeks.  After I had calmed down and collected myself words just started flowing in a way unexplainable. Here is one of the poems I created.

Life’s Detour

A long road I have been on
One that now has taken a bit of a curve
Not the end but a new beginning with truth beside us and light ahead
We know God is with us on our new journey
We are called to be strong people of faith in both good times and bad times
We follow God’s will as hard as it might be as we forge ahead on our new journey
We know that with God all things are possible

You have touched my heart in a special way Opie. You saying that means a lot to me. Thanks so much for the hugs my friend.

I've been experiencing emotional moments every day. I guess its best to just let it be or let it happen between dealing with the loss and the lack of hormones.

God Bless.

nice, Teresa...life has many detours, doesn't it.

And yes, your hormones are acting up.

I hope you're feeling well physically.

There's a devotional I find the best ever: STREAMS IN THE DESERT. It's so uplifting because the woman who wrote most of it and compiled the rest had real trouble in her life. This is a devotional for realists who trust God and understand trouble's coming anyway...and why, and how to cope.

I hope you'll order it; I know you'll be blessed.
I agree with Opus, any child that comes into your life will be blessed by you and your husband. xx God bless you

Thanks so much for your kind words Z and for your devotional reading suggestion. I looked it up and I am definitely going to order it. I really appreciate your thoughtful words in agreement with Opus.

I am definitely feeling better. Now I'm having a lot of pain around my tailbone area and a bit more pain in my abdomen since I'm moving a much better than before. My doc said the tailbone area pain is normal with this procedure. Thankfully I'm on the mend.

God Bless.
