NBC Hates Christians?

Here is an article from Fox News which describes anti-Christian bigotry from the Nothing But Commies TV channel (aka NBC). Those reporting news on NBC are hard core Leftists in the tank for Obama (openly advocating and praising his policies) and they hate Christianity, especially traditional Christianity, consistently overlook cases of Muslim extremism and defend Islam while exaggerating, distorting, and fabricating instances of so called Christian extremism. Communists hate traditional Christianity so if the shoe fits...

From Todd Starnes at Fox News:

Does NBC hate Christians?

That’s what I was wondering over the weekend as I watched “Saturday Night Live” blaspheme Jesus Christ in a violent and bloody Quentin Tarantino parody – just three days after Ash Wednesday.

The fake movie trailer for “Djesus Uncrossed” featured the Savior brandishing guns and blowing away Romans in classic Tarantino-style. Blood and gore and profanity spewed across flat screens from coast to coast; at one point Jesus sliced a man’s head in half.

“Critics are calling it a less violent ‘Passion of the Christ,’” the announcer declared. “I never knew how much Jesus used the N-word.”

Offending Christians is apparently what passes for entertainment these days.
A few days before the SNL episode, NBC Sports blogger Rick Chandler wrote a scathing smear against a prominent Christian church in Dallas. CONTINUED HERE

The way that NBC denigrated in the way they depicted Jesus in their Saturday Night Live parody is blasphemous, outrageous, and horrible! These people have reached a new low, lower than gutter low - cave low. This fits since those at the Communist sympathizing channel act like cave men and women. This is why I very rarely watch NBC anymore. Its obvious they see Christians as targets, show no respect for Christians, our beliefs and go out of their way to offend and think up ways to be more provocative and more offensive. NBC both saddens me and makes me sick.

Mini Eagle Freedom Links Pope Benedict XVI Resigns Edition

The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry. Well, that's exactly what happened to me. I planned to post a mini links post once per say with at least 15 links but then life got in the way. I had started taking hormones but then my pain increased and increased so then I stopped taking them. On Tuesday I got a migraine headache and I threw up. I'm pretty sure it was because I stopped taking the hormones cold turkey. Wednesday I still felt pretty horrible. Thursday I felt a bit better but have still continued having pain. Friday I felt better but was busy playing catch up with house cleaning and today I'm really starting to feel the effects of not taking hormones - in a fog, here but feeling like I'm not here, hard for me to think and remember stuff, and I have the shakes. I am so sick of being on a yo-yo with my health and these dang hormones. So I will have to take blogging one day at a time.

Two Mondays ago Pope Benedict XVI announced that he would be resigning as Pope at the end of February. When I first saw this on one of the blogs that I frequent I thought it was a hoax or something. Then, I found out the reports were true. I was in shock. I was so surprised because I remember Pope John Paul II having Parkinson's Disease and showing the world how to deal with illness with such grace but then I heard that JPII had even thought of resigning but then decided against it. This is the first time a pope has resigned in over 600 years.  While I am sad to see Pope Benedict resign during his last Mass he looked so frail so seeing that and knowing all the great challenges facing the Church maybe the Church does need someone who is in good health and not just of sound mind to defend the Church against its enemies. Pope Benedict was a staunch defender of the Faith and was a great teacher. I also believe that Pope Benedict was courageous and humble to know that he was no longer able to be the visible head of the Catholic Church and to buck over 600 years of the norm, of pope's dying as popes, and resign instead. Whoever is elected the progressives will hate him for one reason - He will be Catholic. May the Holy Spirit guide the Council of Cardinals as they choose a new pope. God Bless Pope Benedict.

Bishop Zubik, my bishop in Pittsburgh, held a press conference discussing the announcement of Pope Benedict's resignation. He first reads the Pope's statement in which he said that he is resigning and then Bishop Zubik gives his thoughts on the Pope's decision to resign. After about the 10 minute 30 second mark he holds a question and answer session. Bishop Zubik's Press Conference on the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI from Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh on Vimeo.

How is the Pope chosen?  I found this quick, concise but very informative video at Ubi Petrus, Ibi Ecclesia.

Columbine Survivor Pens Powerful Open Letter to Obama on Gun Rights

Here is a letter on gun control which is filled with facts, uses reason, and is extremely powerful.

Mr. President, As a student who was shot and wounded during the Columbine massacre, I have a few thoughts on the current gun debate. In regards to your gun control initiatives:
Ban on Military-Style Assault Weapons

The evidence is very clear pertaining to the inadequacies of the assault weapons ban. It had little to no effect when it was in place from 1994 until 2004. It was during this time that I personally witnessed two fellow students murder twelve of my classmates and one teacher. The assault weapons ban did not deter these two murderers, nor did the other thirty-something laws that they broke. Gun ownership is at an all time high. And although tragedies like Columbine and Newtown are exploited by ideologues and special-interest lobbying groups, crime is at an all time low. The people have spoken. Gun store shelves have been emptied. Gun shows are breaking attendance records. Gun manufacturers are sold out and back ordered. Shortages on ammo and firearms are countrywide. The American people have spoken and are telling you that our Second Amendment shall not be infringed.

10-Round Limit for Magazines

Virginia Tech was the site of the deadliest school shooting in U.S. history. Seung-Hui Cho used two of the smallest caliber hand guns manufactured and a handful of ten round magazines. There are no substantial facts that prove that limited magazines would make any difference at all. Second, this is just another law that endangers law-abiding citizens. I’ve heard you ask, “why does someone need 30 bullets to kill a deer?” Let me ask you this: Why would you prefer criminals to have the ability to out-gun law-abiding citizens? Under this policy, criminals will still have their 30-round magazines, but the average American will not. Whose side are you on? Lastly, when did they government get into the business of regulating “needs?” This is yet another example of government overreaching and straying from its intended purpose.
Selling to Criminals

Mr. President, these are your words: “And finally, Congress needs to help, rather than hinder, law enforcement as it does its job. We should get tougher on people who buy guns with the express purpose of turning around and selling them to criminals. And we should severely punish anybody who helps them do this.” Why don’t we start with Eric Holder and thoroughly investigate the Fast and Furious program? Furthermore, the vast majority of these mass murderers bought their weapons legally and jumped through all the hoops — because they were determined to murder. Adding more hoops and red tape will not stop these types of people. It doesn’t now — so what makes you think it will in the future? Criminals who cannot buy guns legally just resort to the black market. Criminals and murderers will always find a way...
Mr. President, do the right thing, restore freedom, and save lives. Show the American people that you stand with them and not with thugs and criminals.

Respectfully,
Severely Concerned Citizen, Evan M. Todd

3D Printed Guns? Protecting The Second Amendment

In the video below Glenn Beck interviews Cody Wilson the founder of Defense Distributed and the creator of the Wiki Weapons project.
The Wiki Weapons project is so technological advanced that it "would allow anyone to be able to get a gun by printing it on a 3D Printer. He has been called one of the most dangerous men on Earth. He’s already been able to print and fire guns he made on the 3D Printer."

On the one hand I think this ingenuity of the creation of a 3D printable gun is remarkable, pretty cool and is an excellent defense of the Second Amendment, especially when the Second Amendment is being attacked by the libs ever increasingly today, but on the other hand any person, criminal or not, is able to get their hands on this so this does give me pause, to think that the 3D guns should be regulated in some way so criminals are unable to get their hands on these. But there are so many things that are over regulated so maybe this creation is a stroke of genius? What do ya think?

ICE Union Leader Reveals Shocking Details About Immigration Enforcement To Congress

From The Blaze:
Chris Crane, president of the National Immigration and Customs Enforcement Council 118, made a number of stunning revelations during his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday — and he’s begging Congress for help. The ICE union boss argued that agents are no longer allowed to arrest illegal aliens solely for illegal entry or expired visas and morale is at an all-time low. Most Americans would be shocked to find out that immigration agents are regularly “prohibited from enforcing the two most fundamental sections of United States immigration law,” he said. Instead, the administration has ordered that only illegals charged or convicted of “very serious criminal offenses” may be arrested or charged by ICE agents and officers.

“In fact, under current policy individuals legally in the United States must now be convicted of 3 or more criminal misdemeanors before ICE agents are permitted to charge or arrest the illegal alien for illegal entry or overstaying a visa,” he added. That is unless the misdemeanors involve assault, sexual abuse or drug trafficking.

Even more shocking, Crane said ICE agents or officers who witness a violation of immigration law are prohibited from making arrests and even from asking questions “under the threat of disciplinary action.”

Citing a recent morale survey disseminated throughout federal agencies, Crane said ICE ranks 279 out of 291 in employee morale and job satisfaction. He has previously asked the Obama administration to help address the plummeting morale and dissatisfaction among ICE agents.

Unbelievable! Our ICE agents are being disciplined for doing their jobs? For enforcing the immigration law? So this administration is advocating for the agents to abandon enforcing our immigration laws? I'm so sick of this administration having such disregard for the Constitution and sidestepping around the Constitution whenever it is convenient for them. Is this an impeachable offense? Of course this administration and liberals in general tend to hold law breakers in high regard while they treat law-abiding citizens like trash. That is so bass ackwards.

Dr. Ben Carson: Fantastic Motivational, Inspirational Speech at National Prayer Breakfast

From Before It's News:
Dr Ben Carson was born in Detroit, Michigan and was raised by a single mother, Sonya Carson. Dr Carson struggled academically throughout elementary school, but started to excel in middle school and throughout high school. After graduating with honors from Southwestern High School, he attended Yale University, where he earned a degree in Psychology. He chose to go to Yale because in College Bowl, an old knowledge competition TV program, he saw Yale compete against and defeat many other colleges, including Harvard. Carson wanted to participate in College Bowl, but the program was discontinued. From Yale, he attended University of Michigan Medical School.
Benjamin Solomon "Ben" Carson, Sr. is an American neurosurgeon and the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian award in the United States, by President George W. Bush.
I recommend that everyone read his book, "Gifted Hands."

Struggling so... Here are Zoo Babies

I am having a really rough time emotionally with the hysterectomy, the introduction of hormones to my system, and the lack of hormones so here are some cute baby animals for anyone who needs to take a break from the hustle and bustle, and the stress of life.

Three Siberian tigers were recently born in good health at Circus Renaissance in The Netherlands. There are now twelve Siberian tigers in total at the circus.

A four-hour-old baby rhino was born to its mother, Tanda, on June 15 at an open-air zoo near
Tel Aviv, Israel.

Cheetah keeper Gil Myers held a one-month-old female cheetah cub at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C. The cub was delivered via a rare caesarian section. According to theWashington Post, only two of the four-cub litter survived what the newspaper termed a dramatic delivery..

A female Baringo giraffe calf, born March 22 at the Wildlife Conservation Society's Bronx Zoo, stayed close to her mother in the Carter Giraffe Building, in New York. The calf recently made its debut in the zoo's African Plains and was approximately 6 feet tall and over 100 pounds at birth. As an adult, she could eventually grow to 16 feet and weigh 2,600 pounds.

Seven-week-old Java leopards Arjuna (left) and Sri Kandi are pictured during their official presentation at the Tierpark Zoo in Berlin, Germany, on March 5, 2012. The mother of the two cubs, Shinta, was born at the Taman Safari park in Indonesia.

A baby kangaroo pokes its head out of the pouch of its mother, Skippy, at the Franklin Park Zoo.
Baby kangaroos, born the size of a jellybean, do not start to peek out of their mothers' pouches until they reach the age of six months. They leave the pouch when they are between seven and ten months old. This is the first joey at the zoo since 2005.

A one-month-old polar bear cub named Siku (Greenlandic for "sea ice") stretched out on the lap of Frank Vigh-Larsen, director of the Zoo in Skandinavisk Dyrepark in Djursland, Denmark. Siku was born in the Scandinavian Wildlife Park and was taken in for care and bottle feeding when his mother was unable to produce milk.

A group of panda cubs napped earlier this week at a nursery in the research base of the Giant Panda Breeding Center in Chengdu, located in China's Sichuan Province. China is trying to determine how many of the endangered animals live in the wild with its once-in-a-decade panda census. The last count found 1,596 pandas left in the wild, with the majority in Sichuan.

A baby Asian elephant clung to its mother Azizah two days after its birth at Whipsnade Zoo near Dunstable, southern England. The calf was the smallest elephant ever born at the zoo.

There are more zoo babies here

Mini Eagle Freedom Links -- Conservatism on the verge of a rebirth?

In an interview Ted Cruz stated that conservatism is 'on the verge of a rebirth.'  He continued by expressing his optimism, positive that we can stop the liberal policies, and replace them with conservative, liberty friendly ones. He has offered two plans for the future, one in the short-term and the other for the long-term.

From The Daily Caller:

“The first thing I would urge every Republican in the House of Representatives [to do] is stop reading the New York Times,” he said.
The Texas Republican further urged Republican House members to “stop bad things” that would harm the country, calling out in particular  gun control, increased spending, higher taxes and burdensome economic regulation.Cruz added that Republicans should use “leverage points” to get what they want done. The party should be willing, he said, to send the government into partial or temporary shutdown over the coming debt ceiling and continuing resolution negotiations.

Over the long term, Cruz stressed Republicans must “win the argument” and become the party of growth as a means to grow jobs, reduce debt, reduce poverty and increase revenues.
“You want to pay back debt you get the economy roaring and people back to work. Four percent growth per decade, 3 million people would rise up from poverty and be standing on their own,” he said. “We need to be unapologetically, relentlessly the party growth. And the policies of the Obama administration not only don’t produce growth, they kill jobs.”Cruz returned to his long-standing message of “opportunity” as the second plank in his long-term plan for Republicans’ resurgence.
“Every domestic policy we as conservatives think about, talk about, fight about should be focused like a laser on opportunity. On easing the means of ascent up the economic ladder. That should be the focus of every single policy,” he said. “Our policies work. The other side’s don’t.”
Do you think that conservatism is on the verge of a rebirth? I think once more people start to feel the hurt of higher taxes and the effects of Obamacare that it is probable that there will be a resurgence of conservative principles. But I think it may take a year or two before it happens.

Mini Eagle Freedom Links - Sub Par Politicians Edition

Since I am looking for work, dealing with my having a lack of hormones, the small gradual reintroduction of hormones, and the symptoms related to both I am going to be posting at least 15 links per day instead of posting the whole list of links all at once.

What did you think of the Super Bowl? It was interesting and a first in Super Bowl history to have two brothers coaching against one another. Plus, the Harbaugh brother who coaches the 49ers has a son who is an intern for the Baltimore Ravens so it was also Father versus Son. I was rooting for the Ravens. I thought they were going to blow their lead in the second half. But after falling asleep in the 3rd quarter the Ravens came back to life in the 4th. Congrats Ravens!

In the past week or so senators voted to confirm one sub par politician - and soon the senate will probably do the same with another mediocre nominee- into a top post in this administration. John Kerry is a disgrace. The way he has chosen our enemies over this country and our troops at least a couple of times is despicable. Then we have Hagel who declared at his hearings that Iran has 'elected, legitimate' government and then back peddled after he felt some heat over his outrageous comment. The leader of Iran is a tyrant, a brutal dictator and he stole the election in 2009. The word is that Hagel will be confirmed even though he has done a horrible job at the hearings.  Why is horrible the minimum criteria? Or, why do people give Hagel a pass by saying he made this or that mistake but he knows what he's talking about? If he knew what the heck he was talking about when discussing important topics, which he should comprehend satisfactorily, why didn't he display this to the Senate? Why are people assuming that he has knowledge on subjects which he either couldn't answer or had trouble answering? Hagel is unqualified for the job of Defense Secretary and shouldn't be confirmed.

Sen. Ted Cruz Schools Congress on Gun Control Facts

Cruz is magnificent!  Hope you enjoy the lesson , err the show.

H/T American Thinker

Senator Ted Cruz takes Congress to task for their tendency to pass legislation based on emotion, false statistics and scary pictures instead of based on facts.

"Cruz says that these decisions are too often made in a 'fact-free-zone'."

I love the saying "fact-free zone." Ted Cruz is correct.
