Today we celebrate Independence Day. Our Founding Fathers took a stand opposed tyranny and fought against an oppressive King, King George III. They refused to be ruled as if they were mere subjects having no say in the goings on of the government. Instead our Founders chose to institute a form of government called a constitutional republic where citizens of the United States of America have a say, a way of being represented within the government. Our Founders fought to bring liberty to ordinary citizens and that's exactly what the Constitution does. Benjamin Franklin said "It's a Republic if you can keep it". Our Founders shed blood and sweat in order so that we may be a free people. Are we going to let liberals destroy what they fought so bravely for? Or are we as a citizenry going to rise up, stand up for freedom and liberty this November to save the Republic from further transformation into some type of socialist state? Let us follow in our Founders' footsteps and continue to fight against the King George III's of today and all those who would rather be peasants without rights, who choose to have the government control every aspect of our lives as opposed to citizens granted certain rights and individual liberties by our Creator recognized by our Constitution. Have a safe and happy Independence Day as you celebrate with family and friends today.

Happy 4th of July! -- My Thoughts on Independence Day

TNBC,
Good to hear (P). Well if it wasn't for the killer pain (gynecological) I have been dealing prior to my scare I would be feeling much better than I am. The other pain hurts on and off but isn't as bad compared to my other friggin women issues.
Wishing you blessings on this Independence Day.
A very happy Independence Day to you too, Teresa!
This is a beautiful tribute for this special day, Teresa!
Very well put. I know our Founding Fathers are just spinning with what has happened to America. I know in November, we can turn this ship around and save the USA from tyranny. We left England 236 years ago to escape from a tyrant, and in Nov., we'll get rid of another one, in the ballot box.
Stay cool and I hope the kitties and family are well.
