How can people be so blinded by race and be so racially motivated? I am talking about the George Zimmerman Trial. If Trayvon Martin had gone home the events that took place between Zimmerman and Martin would not have happened. George got his head bashed into the sidewalk and his injuries support this. I would feel like my life was being threatened if my head was being bashed into the sidewalk and someone was wailing on me. Yet, the media and prosecution has made this about race and totally avoided the evidence which supports self-defense. And it pisses me off that much of the media has portrayed or tried to portray Trayvon as some sweet, innocent kid by showing a photo of him that was about five years old. The prosecution never had a murder case and they still don't have a murder case. That is why their case is unraveling before their eyes. Do skittles make a person sweet and good or something? This guy in a round table was saying that Trayvon was sweet and innocent because he was carrying skittles. What a freaking loon! What happened is a tragedy. It is sad that a life was taken so young, especially when it could have been avoided. I feel sorry for his family.
What The Media Choose Not To Know About Trayvon
Was Trayvon Martin High on "Purple Drank"?
There is chaos in Egypt. At least 51 people have been killed so far. People being thrown off buildings. There was a coup in Egypt but the Obama administration doesn't want to call it a coup because that would mean the U.S. couldn't continue funding Egypt. Huh? Did you get that? Why is our government going out of its way to fund Egypt which is in utter chaos now?
I am in the middle of reading the new encyclical just released by Pope Francis. It is called Lumen Fidei, meaning Light of Faith. I am really enjoying reading it. Here is a paragraph:
"There is an urgent need, then, to see once again that faith is a light, for once the flame of faith dies out, all other lights begin to dim. The light of faith is unique, since it is capable of illuminating every aspect of human existence. A light this powerful cannot come from ourselves but from a more primordial source: in a word, it must come from God. Faith is born of an encounter with the living God who calls us and reveals his love, a love which precedes us and upon which we can lean for security and for building our lives. Transformed by this love, we gain fresh vision, new eyes to see; we realize that it contains a great promise of fulfilment, and that a vision of the future opens up before us. Faith, received from God as a supernatural gift, becomes a light for our way, guiding our journey through time. On the one hand, it is a light coming from the past, the light of the foundational memory of the life of Jesus which revealed his perfectly trustworthy love, a love capable of triumphing over death. Yet since Christ has risen and draws us beyond death, faith is also a light coming from the future and opening before us vast horizons which guide us beyond our isolated selves towards the breadth of communion. We come to see that faith does not dwell in shadow and gloom; it is a light for our darkness. Dante, in the Divine Comedy, after professing his faith to Saint Peter, describes that light as a "spark, which then becomes a burning flame and like a heavenly star within me glimmers".[4] It is this light of faith that I would now like to consider, so that it can grow and enlighten the present, becoming a star to brighten the horizon of our journey at a time when mankind is particularly in need of light."
Here is an article, Choice and Repercussion by Donald DeMarco.
"Jean Bethke Elstain, an author I greatly admire, made an astute observation when she remarked that “much that comes parading through town under the banner of ‘choice’ is actually a new set of constraints and compulsions.” “Parading” is an appropriately descriptive word since this new attitude toward choice does not come to us through a wise and thoughtful tradition. Rather, it comes whistling into town with much clang and clatter, but with little substance. “More and more women,” she goes on to say, “testify that the ‘choice’ to abort post-amniocentesis if they are carrying a ‘defective’ child is nearly irresistible: they become ‘bad mothers’ by carrying a child to term rather than aborting it! ‘Choice’ and ‘constraint’ always go hand-in-hand.” She penned these words nearly 25 years ago (Chronicles, October, 1989). In retrospect, she appears prophetic. Her words are truer today than they were a quarter of a century ago when she first wrote them.Bad choices have rippling effects. Making bad choices can haunt you in the future. Knowing the difference between right and wrong is very important, recognizing what is morally licit, and making decisions on that basis will help you.
Choices are not without consequences. Bad choices can have unhappy repercussions. Nature cannot be mocked with impunity; it has a way of striking back. Overeating brings on indigestion. Immoral choices are followed by guilt and regret. In the web of life, choice is not free from a multitude of things that are not directly chosen but nonetheless do reverberate. A thief in the night may think that all he is doing is obtaining his loot. But his action puts the whole town on alert." CONTINUED
Now for a bit of fun. Enjoy the music.

I hope you start feeling better.
Thank you Supi. Its been awhile. How have you been?
Teresa, we both need to just keep trusting and believing that our Heavenly Father will heal us and restore us.
Love you, my dear friend.
Oh no! What's wrong Leticia? Yes we do Leticia. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love you. God Bless.
T, sorry to hear that you do not feel well. Yes, faith is important. We must speak about it because the forces of anti-deism keep talking and theirs are the only words if we stay silent on matters of faith.
And pro-aborts are NOT pro choice, as you point out. They do not support choosing life.
Thanks so much for your comment Opus. Thankfully I'm feeling better today. God Bless.
I hope you are feeling better Teresa.
Isn't also true that if George Zimmerman had listened to the dispatcher, the events between him and Trayvon Martin wouldn't have happened? Although I agree that the prosecution didn't have a case for murder, I think they did for manslaughter. Let's remember that only two people know for sure what happened that night and one of them isn't in a position to give his side of the story. How do any of the Zimmerman supporters know for sure he's telling the truth? Isn't it possible that he started the physical confrontation with Trayvon? If so, didn't Trayvon have a right to stand his ground?
Oops. The sentence should start with "Isn't it true..."
Malcolm,
Thank you. I wish somebody upstairs would listen to your words.
I agree that the only two people who know what happened that night are Trayvon who is obviously tragically unable to talk now and Zimmerman.
I also think that we should give deference to the jury's verdict since they were the able to look at the evidence, testimony etc., and made the decision based on that whereas the public didn't have access to the above mentioned.
The dispatcher also asked him about where Trayvon was almost as if the person was asking him to keep an eye out for Trayvon. Maybe the dispatcher did this so the police would be able to find and talk to Trayvon?
I'll just say from what I've heard, from the pics, and articles I saw I believe what Zimmerman said about not finding Trayvon, heading back to his car, and Trayvon throwing the first punch. I just don't think Zimmerman would have called the police if he was looking for a fight.
I agree with Geraldo Rivera when he said "not every tragedy is a crime." I think that applies in this case.
If the jury had ruled against Zimmerman, would you still say we should defer to them?
The dispatcher said "Okay, we don't need you to do that." when Zimmerman said he was following Trayvon. Again, if Zimmerman had listened, we wouldn't be talking about this.
Zimmerman may not have been looking for a fight. However, it's possible his plans changed once he and Trayvon were face to face. Also, the talk of Trayvon being high on "purple drank" is pure speculation.
By the way, did you hear that Zimmerman's old MySpace has been discovered?
http://politicalblindspot.org/george-zimmermans-old-myspace-surfaces-full-of-racist-statements-and-admissions-of-criminal-activity/
Malcolm,
"If the jury had ruled against Zimmerman, would you still say we should defer to them?"
Yes. I didn't like the outcome of the Casey Anthony trial and admittedly complained a few days but after that I just accepted the verdict and give the jury the benefit of the doubt that they looked over the evidence and didn't find anything that directly connected her to Caylee's death.
The dispatcher also says "Yeah we've got someone on the way, just let me know if this guy does anything else."
Dispatcher
He's running? Which way is he running?
Zimmerman
Down towards the other entrance to the neighborhood.
Dispatcher
Which entrance is that that he's heading towards?
Then the dispatcher says "Okay, we don't need you to do that."
Zimmerman continues talking to the dispatcher saying
Dispatcher
Okay do you want to just meet with them right near the mailboxes then?
Zimmerman
Yeah that's fine.
Dispatcher
Alright George, I'll let them know to meet you around there, okay?
Zimmerman
Actually could you have them, could you have them call me and I'll tell them where I'm at?
Dispatcher
Okay, yeah that's no problem.
At 2 minutes 26 seconds is when the dispatcher told him "Okay, we don't need you to do that." and at 4 minutes seven seconds the dispatcher hangs up. So there was amost 2 minutes (at the least) where Trayvon could have headed home and gotten home safely without a problem. Going by his friend's testimony Trayvon admits that he made it home but then went back outside wandering around. Why? If he had stayed home he would still be alive.
Malcolm,
"Also, the talk of Trayvon being high on "purple drank" is pure speculation."
It may be speculation but people can make an educated assessment and draw conclusions based on what Trayvon possessed, the time of night that he was out(with the exception of people who have a job or are getting home from a job at that time it is probable that most kids up that late are up to no good), and his Facebook postings and admission of using "purple drank" for about a year. Marijuana was found in his system so it's not a leap to suspect that he was out getting items needed to make "purple drank".
"Again, if Zimmerman had listened, we wouldn't be talking about this."
Actually, he may have listened since he was heading back to his car when the fight happened between him and Trayvon.
I saw a couple articles on Zimmerman's Myspace page and didn't see any racist comments. The one page said "thug" is a racist comment. Thug can apply to any person of any color or ethnicity so saying that's racist doesn't make sense.
He alludes to criminal activity or not getting caught but we have no idea what specific criminal activity he is referring to. Plus, people change over a five year period. I know I have over the last five years. He may have gotten into some bad stuff back then but from what I've heard from around his neighborhood it seems like he's changed for the better.

Trayvon dying is a tragedy. I pray the black communities across the country learn from this, instead of accepting and even glorifying certain bad behavior I would hope they would start denouncing certain bad behaviors. This can be applied to all communities and all races.
Teresa: "If he had stayed home he would still be alive."
It still sounds like you're blaming the victim, but we can agree to disagree on that point. The same goes for whether or not Zimmerman was heading back to his car when the confrontation with Trayvon started.
You were able to get over the Casey Anthony verdict after a few days because you likely didn't take it on a personal level. Given this country's history, I hope you can understand why many blacks are taking the verdict personally.
In your second comment, you refer to the time of night Trayvon was out. I have heard other conservatives make the same argument. Where are you guys getting this information? It's a well-established fact that the events took place between 7:00 PM EST and 7:30 PM EST. This hardly constitutes as "late".
Although it's true that weed was found in Trayvon's system, a professor of forensic science stated that the THC amount was so low that it may have been ingested days earlier and played no role in Trayvon's behavior.
There were a couple of disparaging comments about Mexicans on the page that I linked to about Zimmerman's MySpace page. However, I think the headline of the article is misleading.
Ultimately, the previous actions of Zimmerman and Trayvon may have little or nothing to do with what went down on 2/26/12. The speculation about Trayvon's background is especially distasteful because he's in no position to defend himself.
Malcolm,
You are correct about the time. From the beginning I heard from various sites that the incident occurred late at night or in early morning.
"The speculation about Trayvon's background is especially distasteful because he's in no position to defend himself."
It may seem distasteful to look at the dead's past but it is necessary to look at relevant information about both George and Trayvon's past. It is especially legitimate when practically every media outlet portrays Trayvon as some kind of angel when things in his past show differently.
"Ultimately, the previous actions of Zimmerman and Trayvon may have little or nothing to do with what went down on 2/26/12."
I agree with your statement for the most part. Although, if behaviors from the recent past were continued at the time of the fight then it would be relevant to look at those factors as possibly being factors on the night of the fight.
