Another Reason To Defund NPR; NPR Needs to Sink or Swim on Its Own

NPR needs to sink or swim on its own.  Since NPR, it's executives and journalists spew hatred towards conservatives and the Tea Party movement then let's see whether NPR can survive without government funding which is funded by taxpaying Americans, including those conservative and Tea Party patriots who are so despised by NPR.  Why should Americans who are hated by NPR be paying to keep this radical "news" organization afloat?

From The Daily Caller:
"A man who appears to be a National Public Radio senior executive, Ron Schiller, has been captured on camera savaging conservatives and the Tea Party movement.

“The current Republican Party, particularly the Tea Party, is fanatically involved in people’s personal lives and very fundamental Christian – I wouldn’t even call it Christian. It’s this weird evangelical kind of move,” declared Schiller, the head of NPR’s nonprofit foundation, who last week announced his departure for the Aspen Institute.

This is extremely disturbing.  This is yet another reason for Congress to defund NPR.  Ron Schiller states that NPR only gets about 10 percent of it's funding from the government and that they would be better off if the government did stop funding them.  I agree.  This radical far leftist organization -NPR- needs to sink or swim on its own.

If the government money is so unimportant to them then they won't miss it.

No way we should be forced to pay for opposing political viewpoints.

Unless the libs want to start paying for Rush, Hannity and Beck. Just sayin'.

More important than government funding - which I agree should be withdrawn - is the tax exempt status of NPR, PBS and many more other organizations that are political in nature or contain a degree of political and self serving activities. In these fiscal times tax exempt rules most be changed.

I saw this today. And who said they don't have a bias point of view. It's time to strip them of their funding.

Thanks! See ya.

Opie,

Yeah what if taxpayers were forced to pay for Rush, Hannity, Beck and Levin? The libs would be going crazy over that.

John Galt,

I agree. PBS and NPR are propagandist spewing stations and should not be tax exempt.

Most Rev. Gregori,

Maybe. It would be interesting to see where there funding would come from.

They are to big to fail. Most the banks didn't need funding either but they got it.
