Autistic Boy Punched by Bullies; Says He's "Afraid" to Return to School

This is horrible! This poor boy.  No student should have to deal with being bullied at school, or being afraid while attending school.  The school and police really dropped the ball on this case.  Does there really have to be bloodshed for it to be considered assault?  That doesn't make sense.  And, evidently the police lied about the need for blood to be present for it to be considered an assault.  I hope this boy and his family get some additional help or takes this matter further in some way, so that the boy is able to feel safe at school. This story is heartbreaking.

That's ridiculous. Blood is not necessary for it to be assault. Bruising usually suffices.

That poor boy! My heart just broke for him. I cannot imagine how those parents must have felt sending their precious child back to a very hostile environment.

I hope they will take the school, the police officer and the bully's parents to federal court. Nothing hurts more than losing a serious amount of dough.

And the bully would serve time in jail for assault.

Zero tolerance.

What I found most heartbreaking watching this was his dad. I can't even imagine how painful this must be for his parents. You could see the pain in his father's face.
