Senator Lindsay Graham Excoriates Eric Holder

Yesterday, Senator Lindsay Graham of South Carolina excoriated Eric Holder. He ripped Eric Holder to shreds. I love it!  The Attorney General had much trouble responding to Graham's questions. Graham is right. The only reason Obama is backing Holder's decision is to appease his leftist base which is full of loons. This unconscionable decision will make history, and in a very bad way. The decision to try Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the 9/11 mastermind, and four other terrorists has nothing to do with the security of this nation, safety of Americans, or even about justice. This is purely politics of the worst nature. This decision only has the potential for harm. It will expose and increase the threat level for all Americans.

We must put pressure on the Obama administration to reverse course, to think about the safety of The United States of America and all of its citizens, so that they will try these terrorists in a military commission instead of trying them in a federal court in New York City.

It has everything to do with those very issues. You're just looking at it from the wrong angle, you make the incorrect assumption that the left want to make America more secure, safe and want justice. They don't want any of those things, if anything they'll be quite happy to free ksm, convict Bush for war crimes and undermine your national security all together. But they won't get all 3 so, they'll settle for one or two.

MK,
When I wrote this statement, I knew full well that the left doesn't want to make America safe, secure, or want justice. That's why I stated had nothing to do with. "The decision to try Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the 9/11 mastermind, and four other terrorists has nothing to do with the security of this nation, safety of Americans, or even about justice."

I do agree with your evaluation.

Teresa, Holder and the President have already gone on record as saying KSM will be convicted.

This pre-judging is blatant hypocrisy from the left.

They trot out civil rights and the Constitution as being championed by trying KSM in a civil trial... but have no compuction towards honoring the same if the outcome of that trial does not go according to plan.

Graham really got him - I really don't think Holder's stammering was very convincing. The problem is that it itself will not change this ludicrous decision, it only shows its stupidity, which most of the people have already discovered. I wish the Senate will have enough reason to turn this decision down. Elli
