The Democratic Party, Racism & The Inferiority Complex

As the Harry Reid racism controversy has been looming the past couple of days I have been pondering the issue of racism with regards to the Democratic Party. Here are some of my thoughts:

It seems to me that the Democrats have forced African-Americans and other minorities to be reliant on the government and thus beholden to the Democratic Party and their policies as well. The Democrats have forced minorities into the mindset that they are weak, have little opportunity, deserve and need more help, and thus need the Demoratic Party to survive. The Democratic Party have impressed upon minorities and drilled it into their minds that they are inferior and as a result I believe that minorities suffer from an inferiority complex. "Inferiority complex is a term used to describe people who compensate for feelings of inferiority (feeling like they're less than other people, not as good as others, worthless, etc.) by acting ways that make them appear superior. They do this because controlling others may help them feel less personally inadequate."

I believe that the Democratic Party wants to keep minorities poor so that they stay dependent on the government social programs which the Democrats have expanded over the years, thus keeping minorities beholden to them and therefore shoring up their base. I believe that over the last 50-75 years the the Democratic Party has created its own "Democratic Plantation." Why hasn't the income desparity between minorities and caucasians decreased substantially over the past 50 years? Why hasn't the economic situations of minorities improved? If the Democrats were actually helping minorities than why are there still so many problems within minority communities today? Is it because the Democrats are taking advantage of minorities and taking their votes for granted?

Martin Luther King Jr. did not want African-Americans to be treated as if they were "special" or "different", but rather as EQUAL human beings and EQUAL Americans. He wanted African-Americans to be freed from the bondage of the chains. Martin Luther King Jr. wanted people of all races to join hands right next to each other as sisters and brothers. But, are African-Americans really free in a more sociological sense today? It seems to me that the Democrats are keeping African Americans bound by "chains", the chains of pverty. Is the Democratic Party aiding African-Americans so that they can thrive and achieve their maximum potential? I don't think so. Or, we would see far less poverty and violence within minority communities.

Conservatives/Republicans do help minorities and want to continue helping minorities but we also want to help them succeed in life instead of being dependent on the government for money. We want to help everyone achieve a sustainable income so that every family can support themselves and not rely on the government for funds. This gives people a sense of pride and accomplishment. But, maybe conservatives need to be a little bit more proactive in courting the African-American vote? Maybe, we should help them understand history, help them to understand that we really do want to help them, and that we don't want to keep them beholden to us for funds but rather in believing in our ideals and in our common sense conservative ideology.  We are ALL Americans and don't ascribe to a color.

Here is a great article called Racist Democrats Vs. Colorblind Republicans.

Here is a video of Democrats racist statements

It wasn't that many years ago it was against the law to teach a slave to read... Have you seen the Detroit school system lately? The same party who consistantly pulls the race card is precisely the one who has enslaved Detroit's minorities for decades... (trust me I'm using Detroit as an example, the problem is of epidemic proportions everywhere across this land)

There is no compassion from the left, only a lust for power and as their great organizer / guru Saul Alinsky said "the end justifies the means"...

Don't teach them to read, they might find out that this isn't Oz, and pull back the curtain to find the ugly truth, the wizard is a phony...

I'm old enough to remember the days before LBJ's great society. The days where a man had to work for the livelyhood of himself and his family. That all changed with the election of LBJ and his plan to lift American--his Great Society.

Before that time we had a number of black families living on our farm and they helped work the crops and in return were given a house to live in and land with which to grow food--sure it was not a great life, but then neither was the life of my father and grandfather who worked in the fields from sun up to sundown, six days a week. But then came the Great Society and suddenly the blacks who had worked for us, doing a honest days work to provide for their families, well they moved to town and became wards of the state with their food, clothing and shelter provided by big brother LBJ. No longer was there a need to work, for the government provided everything, that is everything but the pride in doing a days work. Thanks to the Democrats many, many never have felt that pride of accomplishment and never will. I could say much, much more about what I've seen since 1964, but it just makes me sick to talk about the destruction of some many lives.

The Born Again American,
Detroit is a great example of how the left ruined its economy and enslaved minorities. I love the Oz analogy!

Ron,
Thanks for sharing a bit of your life, your insight and observations of what went on before, during and after LBJ.

Very Insightful Post, Teresa, and the comments as well. There is so much truth in it. The dems want people endentured to them. And, they lie and say such outrageous things, that Reid, Pelousey and the rest could go and say all the things on the video,
and obummer and the rest would STILL give them a pass. Whole thing makes me sick.

Nice post, Teresa. I love it when you come out of the corner swinging!

You got it right, Teresa. There's a double standard that exists to keep the black man down ... and perpeutally voting Democrat ... while you have a Republican party that perpetually ignores the black vote because it thinks its a waste of time. I feel embarrassed for those who don't understand this yet, some 240-plus years after the abolition of slavery, but the answer is: to teach ... with facts ... the difference between the keeper and those who would free.

Those of us who see clearly know just what Democrats are, and we never hesitate to explain their hate for America and Freedom.

Yo're right, I really like your post and all the work you put into it. It's amazing what Dems can get away with. Pretty sickening if you ask me.

Well said Teresa, and great comments as well. The Democrats are just as racist now as they were in the past, they just get folks to build their own chains. Mental chains are just as real as ones of iron, and much harder to remove.

Amusing Bunni,
The hypocrisy of the left is sickening.

Nickie,
I have become a fighter in recent years. I really enjoy it.

Snarky,
Yes. We must teach with facts. Maybe, go into African-American neighborhoods? But, there has been an increase in African-American conservatives in recent years.

Teresa said...

Eman,
Your right. The Dems are the party for tyranny and control.

Teresa said...

Samuel,
It is sickening what Dems can get away with. Thanks for the comment and the follow.

Matt,
Mental chains have a much greater impact on minorities since remembering is alot easier when the inferiority mentality of racism is drilled into a person's memory time after time.

Great post, Teresa, and I couldn't agree more. We DO need to reach out to black people. Honestly, the way the dem party has amassed power and become so elitist and dismissive of the people (including, of course, black people), I'm surprised that anyone still buys into their "equality" crap. If equality were the goal, then why are more and more black people added to the welfare rolls every year, especially in 2009? If equality were the goal, why is it the dems who vote against legislation designed to extend equal opportunity in education to black people? It's baffling to me. But old habits die hard, and as we are seeing in Massachusetts, the dem party has a hold on the working people of this country, both black and white, who still believe that the Democratic party has any interest in them at all, except as political pawns and a means to amass and keep power. It's heartbreaking. And stomach-turning.

Honestly, too, black Americans need to figure out what they want. Do they want equality, an end to racism? If so, they will, at some point, have to accept that this means foregoing the entitlements and seeking instead better chances at social and economic success. It also means letting go of the intense focus on skin color (all shades!) and thinking instead about the content of people's character. It's a big shift, but much needed and long overdue.

Good post. You make some fine points.

I don't see how we can educate generations of people who, with the full support of the educational system, eschew education itself. Victimology is a terrible thing and very hard to eradicate once it takes hold.

Everyone knows, it's OK to be a racist Democrat.

Get ready for a year packed with the race card. It's all the Libs have left.
