Ronald Reagan -- Speech on Socialized Medicine
I think that this speech is appropos today. We must keep our chins up. We can fight against Obamacare-socialized medicine- and stop it from infecting our population. We can repeal this in the courts. This was adopted against the will of the people and we will round up the troops, like good patriots and reinstitute conservatism, like our Founders intended. We will prevail and gain back both our freedom and liberty.

I love that speech. So true. But the Most Rev. is right, they don't listen. I think, however, and I've been repeating this in comments elsewhere, that teh Executive has the Legislative branch under its control, so the only checks and balances left are in the Judicial. And I am glad to see states lining up to challenge this destructive bill.
The point of Ronald Reagan's speech was that Medicare would destroy America and lead to a socialist tyranny.
But most people love Medicare. The strongest Republican attack on the health reform proposal was that it would weaken Medicare. Why would the Republicans pledge not to touch a single payor health insurance program like Medicare that Ronald Reagan said would lead to tyranny?
Great speech. I think that we will overturn this before most of it takes effect. That is if we do not let amnesty pass
Anon,
WEll, Reagan's legitimate concern is becoming a reality. And, there were numerous reasons Republicans fought against this health care bill's passage. This bill is not for the people at all. This is solely to benefit our government so it has more control and power over our lives. BO is a tyrannical leader.
Most Rev. Gregori,
The Republicans have been awakened and have started listening and they keep on that same track this can either be repealed via Congress or declared unconstitutional via the courts.
Velcro,
I do think that the Judicial system is going to declare this unconstitutional.
Also, on the radio yeterday I heard that in the (70's?) there were enough people sending letters to congress that they repealed either a medicare or medicaid program.
Thank You for stopping by and commenting.
"That only leaves two options, revolution or cede from the Union."
How would that work? Are people going to seccede from the Union on an individual basis? Or are they going to all move to some state or group of states and then declare their independence?
Trestin,
Your right. WE must fight against amnesty. WE have a real chance with that since I know at least a few Libs that are even against spending their money on illegals, and thus against amnesty. But, I do believe that this travesty (bill) will be repealed.
Anon,
It is a viable option for persons to move to a set of States that will cede or are in process of ceding from the union. When America no longer looks like the America that our Foundes intended and a tyrannical takeover of our freedoms, and liberties then it the right of States to cede from the Union.
Well, we wrote, called, and emailed and they didn't care. NOW WE WILL VOTE !
probably Idaho, Wyoming, Montana are the best states to move to in order to seccede from the Union. Perhaps Texas, since its Governor has made encouraging statements about seccession.
I have never seen a Congress so willing to commit political suicide for a false ideology, but now I have.
Come November the American will have their voice and turn.
