Did The Government make "Most Blacks" Immoral?
This is an excellent interview. Cenk Uygur, the Young Turk, interviews Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson, and Reverend Peterson blows TYT's mind, making bold statements that no white person could get away with. According to Reverend Peterson, "most blacks" are morally deficient. He blames the government, specifically welfare and Lyndon B. Johnson's Great Society programs for replacing the father and making him unnecessary. Even those who are not on those programs are morally damaged because they support them.
Do you agree with Rev. Peterson's assessment?
A theological word of caution: In one part of the interview the host makes reference to Leviticus 11:9-12, and implies that homosexuality is on the same moral plane as eating shellfish (kosher law). He is dead wrong, but this requires an explanation.
Leviticus is the book in the Pentateuch that pertains to priestly laws about what is holy and unholy. This is a cermonial law that goes beyond the moral law, just like how in Pre-Vatican II times in the Catholic Faith it was a mortal sin to eat meat on Fridays, or this ceremonial law is analgous to Jews not eating pork. Eating shrimp is not intrinsically wrong, but homosexuality is intrinsically disordered. God was preparing Israel for the Incarnation of Jesus. That was the whole purpose of of the Old Covenant ceremonial laws. With Christ's sacrifice an institution of the New Covenant the old temperal cermomial laws have been replaced but the moral law is eternal. It remains unchanged. The prohibitions against murder, theft, blasphemy, impiety, covetousness, and sexual immorality (adultery, incest, bestiality, and, yes, homosexual acts) are everlasting.

Star Parker says much the same. Amazing how some blacks have a clear vision of what has happened to their people, yet at the same time our liberal (and white) elites keep shoveling money into those destructive programs.
I agree with the Rev. but the real problem lies with the blacl leadership or better said lack of it. No need to list the names, we all know them well, but it is these black "leaders" who fail the morallity test and pass this along to their sheeple who in turn except the welfare state happily.
As they say, ignorance is bliss.

It is amazing. It seems to me that some people shut out the truth or avoid the truth because that would hold them to a higher moral standard, and practice self control instead of selfishness or selfish acts. I am glad that some blacks have clear visions, but I think that some whites want to keep other blacks beholden to the government's social programs and thus the Democratic Party instead of helping to lift these people up out of poverty.

I would call black leadership more wrongheaded or their steering the black community down the wrong path. They are leading the wrong way, and aiding in their belief that poverty and staying on welfare is okay. Instead of lifting blacks up, helping them become self sufficient, the black leaders are keeping them down- almost like slavery did.
Your right, they are sheeple that just follow their leaders' example and words without questioning them. And, they do in fact fail the morality test.
For too long now, blacks have been listening to the wrong leaders. Al Sharpton & Jesse Jackson should have been discredited long ago and yet they continue to foment trouble and keep blacks at a disadvantage. No doubt liberals have done their share in keeping these scoundrels in power too.
