Scott Strzelczyk from the American Thinker states:
An Ann Arbor, Michigan elementary school field trip to take students to see a rocket scientist at the University of Michigan turned into a racial incident because the school only allowed black students to attend the field trip.
Dicken Elementary School Principal Mike Madison wrote a letter to parents a couple days after the field trip. Mr. Madison said:
"The intent of our field trip was not to segregate or exclude students as has been reported, rather to address societal issues, roadblocks and challenges that our African American children will face as they pursue a successful academic education here in our community."
Imagine the outrage by the far-left zealots and their trained attacked dogs in the main stream media if a field trip included white students only. Undoubtedly, the Rev. Al Sharpton would abandon his theatrical appearance in Arizona and head directly to Michigan.
According to an article published in the Daily Tribune , Michigan's attorney general's office said:
The field trip initially appears to violate the state constitution. In 2006, voters approved a ban on affirmative action programs that give preferential treatment to groups or individuals based on race, gender, color, ethnicity or national origin for public employment, education or contracting purposes.
Welcome to the world of racial and social justice where self-esteem and reputation is no longer based upon character and hard work. Cast aside Rev. Martin Luther King's words delivered in Washington D.C. in 1963:
I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
Racial issues are used as a mechanism by those desiring to divide the country and further their own agendas.
Men are no longer created equal; social and racial engineers make Men equal.
Men are made equal by taking property earned by one person and providing it to another.
Men are made equal by relying on the government instead of relying on individual achievement.
Men are made equal by silencing dissent and enforcing authoritarian rule.
Men are made equal by dividing wealth instead of multiplying wealth.
Martin Luther King's dream has become the nation's nightmare.

Are the Dems racist much? Why yes, yes they are!
I am surprised that this finally got some national attention. It happened several weeks ago.
But, what I find really scary is the parents that stuck up for this guy. This is a violation of the law and is clearly race based. If you want to end racism in this country you cannot continue to divide by race.
Racism against whites - no outcry from the MSM.
What is really disturbing is that most of the people they interviewed did not think it was racist.
I know it's written somewhere that reverse discrimination is OK. I remember where I saw it now ... It was in the Obama for pResident manual.
Matt,
Oh, yes, they are racist.
Just a conservative girl,
Your right. The parents defending the guy is scary. Robot liberal indoctrination mentality?
This is racist and race should be a non-issue.
Opie,
When has the MSM actually done its job lately? Never.
Trestin,
That is disturbing. That must be what liberal indoctrination gets us- dumbed down parents.
Odie,
Yep. Its the rules for radicals way. Obama is trying to get reparations for the blacks.
Principal Michael Madison made a big mistake with the decision to have the blacks only field trip. Having said that, it wasn't just white students who missed out on the knowledge given by the black rocket scientist. I elaborate a bit more on this in a post I wrote at Diversity Ink.
At the opening of your post, you said "If the reverse ever happened there would be an outcry from the Left and charges of racism would be flung around...". My question to you and your readers is this: If the reverse did happen, would there had been an outcry from any of you and would you charge the principal with racism? I ask because although I am on the left politically, I don't see this as a "left vs. right" issue. Wrong is wrong and political viewpoints shouldn't matter in this case.
