Sen. Arlen Specter: The End of an Error

Benedict Arlen Specter has been ousted by Rep. Joe Sestak in the Democratic Primary.  This is the end of an error- a big error.  He is a political opportunist who deserved to lose in this primary.

From The Politico:  "It's been a great privilege to serve the people of Pennsylvania," Specter said with a pained voice to a small but appreciative audience that chanted his first name at the beginning and end of his remarks at his election night headquarters.
He didn't serve the voters of Pennsylvania's interests but rather his own selfish interests. Good riddance, Snarlen Arlen.  Specter retiring is one of the best things to happen to Pennsylvania in a long while.

Bye Bye Mr. Specter. Oh by the way, why can Dems in what was once Murtha's district find the courage to break the cycle of dependency? You would think they would want to try something different and refreshing. Instead they stayed the course with the same ole same ole.

John,
I am wondering that myself. I wish Burns could have pulled it off. But, I think this election only lasts until November. My mother likes a retired Colonel named Bill Russell who ran about 10 points behind Murtha the last time (which isn't that bad considering how attached the voters were to Murtha). Hopefully he'll run in November.

Good riddance to Specter. Now I can't wait to see Pat Toomey whoop Joe Sestak in November!

Good news Teresa and this combined with Rand Paul's clobbering keeps up the streak and builds the movement. Paul's speech was great. Check it out ;)

Benedick Arlen....adios, now comb his records.

If Specter falls in the forest, does anyone care? Amen! Good to see him go the way of Bob Bennett.

Would have been slightly more enjoyable to whoop him in the general election. But this is still pretty darned cool.

The consummate RINO falls on his horn. There was little to love and plenty to doubt about this man. This mans gravestone should read:
I knew who I was but let no one know.
I lie here facing the way the wind blows.
