This just shows the arrogance of both parties. In 2005 the dems did, in 2010 the replicans are doing it.
This is why they both need to get voted out of office.
Conservative Scalawag, Actually not with Republicans. Democrats made an outcry because Bush and Repubs wanted to make an adjustment to medicare ( which is what reconciliation can be used for). Repubs are outraged at Dems for trying to use the 'nuclear option' to pass a whole new program-health care bill, that would takeover 1/6 of our economy (Byrd who had input in writing reconciliation provision said this is NOT the intent or purpose of reconciliation and should not be used to pass health care). There is a big difference between what Repubs were trying to do and what Dems are trying to do now. The arrogance of the Dems is disturbing.
Over and over we have seen how liberals set the rules up, then change them, and then change them again. Trying to stop governors from appointing senate and house seats because the new governor is republican. Calling the Nuke option a power grab and against the Founding Fathers intentions? Since when did we hear democrats invoke the Founding Fathers? These guys aren’t two faced, they have so many faces you can’t keep up! You don’t hear Republicans whining because they’re in the minority, yet these guys can’t stop whining because the HAVE IT! I say let them do it. I also think they won’t get 51 votes. These guys know their political heads are on the block. They won’t fall on their swords for Ried or Pelosi. The backlash they will get at the polls in November if they shove this down America’s throat will be stunning.
