Practical Schism & The Catholic Church

Teresa . . Good morning. The short feature discussing the Church is well done and disturbing. The gradual softening of the Christian message is not confined only to Catholics, but rather to all Christian churches. There is a huge problem rising in the world and Christians need to pay attention.

Islam is not so much a religion as it is a organization of medieval and social patterns of life. It is not really a spiritual belief system at all. Islam orders behavior and provides a semblance of unity and the control of Sharia Law. Islam in total does not contribute to the welfare of humanity. Instead it promotes conflict and death.

The rise of Islam is happening as the foundation of Christianity is crumbling to dust. The core values and strict teachings of the Christian church are being cherry picked to pieces.

The stewards of our religion, including the Pope and lawyers of Rome, are letting the world down. Catholics and Protestants together are losing the war of moral, ethical, and historical influence. . . to the militant evil of Islam. The "Practical Schism" within the Catholic Church is an indication of growing weakness and moldable teachings.

Where are the absolutes? The 10 Commandments do not say: [Thou shalt not kill except ... ] or [Thou shall not commit adultery unless . . . ]

The Church, Catholic or otherwise, has become infested with political correctness and tolerance for non-sensical ideas and behavior. If Christianity is going to continue to be a positive factor in the lives of human beings, let's get to work and make it happen.

Problem is, the "practical" Catholic church is impractically absent from Catholic America. It's been more than a month since my church asked me to "pray" for Obamacare. I haven't been back since. And I won't go back. Ever.

That is one of the reasons that the majority of Orthodox Catholics refuse to reunite with Rome.

Since the Great Schism between the East and the West, Rome has fallen farther and farther away from the TRUE teachings of the Bible and Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Unless there is true repentance on the part of Rome, there can never be a true reunification.

Snarky,
I have been an intermittent attendee this past year or so but am returning ready to fight for the true Christian and Catholic faith ( half-way because of illness and half-way out of disgust). Unfortunately, true Catholics, like you and I have become quite dissillusioned with the Catholic Church and are looking to other faiths that better represent our principles. Its a very sad state of affairs.
