Life,Changing and More
Life for me today is more than politics. To me life is more than voting for the right candidate or Republicans vs. Democrats. Life for me has been spending time with family, becoming closer to Jesus, deeper in faith, healing and dealing with fibromyalgia and other health problems, plus rebuilding my life while separated from my husband(hopefully not too long) due to financial circumstances. Life for me is about being happy, making jewelry and other crafts. Politics is one part of my life it just doesn't take up a huge chunk of my life like it did before. My principles and beliefs are very important to me and that won't change but dealing with chronic pain is enough of a job by itself. I miss blogging often and visiting everyone's blogs.

Do you think wisdom is hard to come by nowadays? Seems like it when so many bad choices have been made for our country in recent years. Becoming wise requires change. Unfortunately most people are reticent to change. Here is an article on wisdom.

Lights Out!
Kevin and I have been going through a really tough time the past few months. Kevin lost his job. I lost health insurance which I very much needed for medications and doctor visits. Going through the craziness of signing up for medical assistance is enough to make anyone go bonkers. The process and papers can be so confusing. Lately we haven't been receiving important papers in the mail so our electricity has been shut off. Yes, lights are out. We think it may have something to do with us having appealed how much we owe the bastards at our apartment complex and having it lowered a decent amount. We have been living with disgusting bugs for three years. There is mildew and so much other crap wrong with the apartment that the staff refused to address. Plus just recently we had sewage come up a couple of the drains. Lovely... The owner of Brentshire Gardens is a friggin slum lord. We are facing eviction but honestly I think it is a blessing in disguise. This is the reason I have been absent lately. Still dealing with health issues but that is an ongoing problem. I know God is with us even though we are going through a rough patch now. Hope all of you are doing well. Bless you and hope to visit blogs soon.

Despicable Prank!!!! So Wrong!!
A boy living in Ohio was the victim of an atrocious prank. The boy thought that he was participating in the ALS ice bucket challenge but instead other high school students played a cruel, vile prank pouring human waste and cigarette butts on the boy. Plus, the pranksters even went so low as to make a video of their bullying the boy with autism. Sick!!! Friggin awful!! I feel so sorry for the autistic boy. Drew Carey is spot on when saying that after these teens who committed this horrible act are found, they should be arrested and expelled from school. What these boys did crosses way over the line of just being a prank. These bullies need to be punished. Drew Carey has even offered a reward to find the bullies who did this repulsive act against the boy. If the reward isn't needed Drew is going to make a donation to the organization Autism Speaks. This is utterly sickening and I can't imagine how this boy is suffering right now.

TV Hosts STOP Giving Dangerous Individuals a Platform to Spew Hatred & Ideology !!!!
Okay, two TV hosts in the past week gave a Muslim activist named Anjam Choudary a platform to spew his hate against the West. Sean Hannity on Fox News and Brian Stelter on CNN gave this dangerous Muslim activist who supports terrorism a platform to talk about wanting to end Western Civilization as we know it now, advocating for a worldwide Muslim Caliphate.
Hannity Stop!!!!! Stelter Stop!!!!!
Stop giving Choudary and others a platform to gain more followers!!
To debate someone with these beliefs is stupid.
I will not post the video of this dangerous Muslim activist who praised 9/11 of him on with Hannity or Stelter. I am not giving Choudary a platform to spread his message of hate and advocating violence against the West and its people. You can see the article on The Blaze.
We are in a war against those who want to destroy the West. We don't debate people who want to annihilate us.

Safety of Abortion Clinics -- Pro-Choicers What Do You Think?
Question for people who are pro-choice -- Do you believe that abortion clinics should be held to the same safety standard as ambulatory facilities? Should abortion clinics be regulated to follow codes such as the Here is a list of facilities across America that are required by law to follow the Life Safety Code standards: prisons, day care centers, health clinics, hotels, schools, prisons, businesses and homes. Do you think that abortion clinics should be required to adhere to the same standards? In Alabama and other states legislatures have proposed or passed legislation that requires the same standards of abortion clinics that are required of other facilities. Abortion rights activists have claimed that these laws are arbitrary and have nothing to do with safety of facilities for employees and patients. Mary Kate Cary from the U.S. News & World Report notes:
The Washington Post editorialized recently, "Safety in abortion clinics is a legitimate concern, but these regulations probably will have little effect on patient safety. Many of the requirements are costly and cosmetic, requiring clinics – without financial assistance from the state – to widen hallways, doorways and even entrance awnings." So not being able to get a gurney to a woman in trouble is a "cosmetic" problem, not a safety concern? Women's health advocates told the Post that as a result, all but one clinic in North Carolina "would probably close" because of associated costs, all but five clinics in Texas "would probably" close, and at least one clinic in Ohio is "already feeling the pinch." Similar predictions followed the restrictions on Pennsylvania clinics after the Kermit Gosnell verdict; yet news reports show that only five had actually closed, most voluntarily.
Since these clinics also offer mammograms, cervical cancer screenings, contraception and other preventive services, the reproductive-rights lobby argues that women will lose access to all of these health services because of "cosmetic," "costly" changes required by "extremist" politicians. But if they really were committed to women's health, wouldn't clinics remain open for all other services? Instead, they prefer to threaten an all-or-nothing shutdown of services to all women because they don't want to meet higher standards for just one service. It makes you wonder which is more important to so-called women's health advocates: women's actual health or abortion politics.
Mainstream public opinion is moving in one direction, toward more restrictions, not fewer – and the left is moving in the other direction. If you ask me, that's extremist.
Here is a schematic which shows regulations across all states.

Conservatives and Libertarians please stop calling them illegal!!
Over the past few months I have been thinking about how in conservative circles we call immigrants who didn't go through the proper channels to come to the United States, "illegal immigrants" and asked myself "why?" These people are NOT Illegal! People are not illegal. The crimes that people do are illegal. Persons themselves are not illegal. I can totally understand why progressives, immigrants, as well as others see this terminology as offensive. Conservatives/Libertarians need to try to get out of this bad habit of calling immigrants who came here illegally "illegal immigrants." So I am making a plea to my fellow bloggers to stop calling immigrants who crossed the border here illegally "illegal immigrants" because it is hurtful to the immigrants as persons to call them illegal. This has pulled my heartstrings.

Liberties lost, Chaos, brutality, rights trampled on, Citizens spying on other citizens; America in decline before our eyes
Is America becoming a police state? Is America becoming a banana republic? Is America becoming a dictatorship? Is America's light dimming for the world to see? Has our country become a Corporatocracy? Totalitarian? Fascist?
H/T DeadCitizensRightsSociety
The incidents happening across America are horrible, alarming, and frightening. It is so sad to witness the decline of America.
We have the government calling on paramedics and firefighters to report so called suspicious activity, ordering them to look for "extremists" as a part of their job. WTH???
I do think there is still time to save America and reverse this slow painful death which is upon her. We can restore Godly principles, lost liberties, and our founding fathers' vision and foundation to America.

RIP Patches and Goofy
Yesterday both of our cats, Goofy and Patches, passed away. Not sure why. They were 9 years old. Somehow in the apartment we got fleas even though they were indoor cats. We tried some things to get rid of the fleas but nothing worked very well. Both Kevin and I are crushed, hurting so badly. They helped me get through my hysterectomy and so much else. I miss them so so so much.
I love them so much with all my heart. They will be in my heart always. They will be remembered always. RIP Patches RIP Goofy

Two American-born IDF Soldiers Killed in Gaza Fighting
Two American-born Israeli soldiers were killed during the first days of Gaza fighting between Israel and Hamas. Very sad. My thoughts and prayers are with their families. May the loss of life be few during this war or fight in Gaza.
From the news:
Two American-born soldiers for the Israeli Defense Forces were killed in fighting in the Gaza Strip, their families confirmed Sunday.
From the news:

Stuart Steinberg confirmed the death of his Max Steinberg, 24, to The Associated Press on Sunday. Steinberg, whose family lives in Southern California's San Fernando Valley, was a sharpshooter for the Golani Brigade. He was one of 13 Israeli soldiers killed in fighting Sunday during the first major ground battle in two weeks of fighting between Israel and Hamas.
Earlier Sunday, the IDF said in a statement that Sgt. Nissim Sean Carmeli, 21, was killed in combat in the Gaza Strip. Carmeli was from South Padre Island, Texas, said Deputy Consul General of Israel to the Southwest Maya Kadosh. She said Carmeli moved to Israel four years ago and added that the consulate helped his family get a flight there Sunday.
Late Sunday, the State Department also confirmed the soldiers' deaths, but made no further statement.

Chaos in Life
My life has been filled with chaos lately. The online payment system that motor vehicles has in Pa is screwed up and this led to my husband having problems with his job. The higher ups at his job acted like a bunch of rejects and idiots and he came close to losing his job. He is finally back to work but now we are facing at least one other major issue. I am still trying to get my health under control. I have been trying different pain meds which seem to help at first but then my pain worsens so I don't know. I have been waiting to be approved for Disability for a long time so hopefully this will happen and when it does our financial situation will improve. Over the past two years I have tried various things to better my health so I am able able to work but nothing has helped even to the point where I feel okay. I have faith that things will get better.
There is utter chaos happening at the border with floods of minors crossing the border into the U.S. illegally. LD Jackson covers the question of whether these unaccompanied alien children are here to stay. Chaos is one of the elements of the Cloward-Piven Strategy. Would progressives assist in creating an implosion of our economy and the societal system which is in place? I wouldn't doubt it. The influx of minor immigrants could certainly be part of progressive's plan to transform America. Oh my! When it rains it pours. Bunkerville has posted news that Mexico has cut a deal to send more illegals to the United States. So much for United States sovereignty. The right to have borders, right to know who is entering the U.S., and the ability for us to defend this nation has been gutted with this crisis at the border.
Do you agree with Sarah Palin saying "It's time to impeach" President Obama?

U.S. Supreme Court Struck Down "Buffer Zone" Law
The U.S. Supreme Court has unanimously struck down a "buffer zone" law in Massachusetts which restricted where the pro-life advocates could counsel women outside of abortion mills. The Court ruled that the Massachusetts law violates the First Amendment.
From Zenit:
The briefs demonstrated that the Massachusetts law violated the First Amendment rights of 40 Days for Life by establishing a 35-foot “no-pro-life” speech zone outside abortion facilities where no alternatives to abortion could be offered. AUL attorneys argued that the unconstitutional law impermissibly forced pro-life speakers to either “shout or be silent” and effectively prohibited speech by those who engage in personal, direct, and peaceful counseling with women considering abortion.
Importantly, the 2007 law discriminated against peaceful pro-life activists by prohibiting them from “enter[ing] or remain[ing] on a public way or sidewalk adjacent” to a stand-alone abortion facility. But this did notapply equally to everyone. Abortion clinicemployees or agents acting within theirscope ofemployment were free to enter the “zone” and speak with women including encouraging them to have abortions.
This discriminatory “no-enter zone” only targeted those opposed to abortion and permitted police to arrest and charge any person engaged in pro-life advocacy. Prohibited conduct under the law included speaking, praying, wearing t-shirts, hats, or buttons, displaying signs, leafleting, and making consented approaches with women or others entering the abortion clinic.
The law effectively sought to prohibit all methods of communicating a pro-life message on public sidewalks—a venue which the Supreme Court has called “a prototypical public forum” where the First Amendment is “at its most protected.”
Thank you Supreme Court for upholding pro-lifers right to free speech.

Computer Problems, Horrible Pain, and the Surge of Minor Immigrants
I apologize for my absence from blogging but I had computer problems and my pain has been awful. My medicine only helps the pain a little bit. It is still extreme much of the time so for that reason my blogging may be intermittent but I am going to try to be around the blogosphere as much as possible. More than I have been recently.
Immigration: As an unprecedented wave of undocumented children from Central America spills over our Texas border, a veteran lawmen's organization has declared it an "orchestrated" event. If so, who benefits?
To date, there hasn't been a word from the White House or its agencies urging families in Honduras, Guatemala or El Salvador not to send their children alone through Mexico's merciless badlands infested with cartel criminals to reach the U.S. There's some Twitter activity and little else.
But the newspapers and television stations throughout Central America are falsely reporting that amnesty will be theirs if they can just make it through the Mexican obstacle course — and that the time to do it is now.
It doesn't matter that these children are likely to succumb to desert heat, be snatched by vicious human traffickers, forced into prostitution, slavery or the drug trade, or simply murdered as has already happened to thousands, as the white crosses at the border can attest.
Not since the radio broadcasts that triggered Rwanda's Tutsi massacres in 1994 has such false information been spread unchecked by authorities who might be able with just their words to make a difference. Continued
Yes, I believe that the Obama administration is culpable at least in part for the sudden massive wave of minor immigrants who are illegally crossing the border.
Two added problems of immigrants crossing the border illegally is gang-related crimes resulting in a rising threat to public safety and deadly diseases such as malaria and Chagas Disease entering the U.S.
Now the big question is how do we handle the enormous number of minor immigrants who have crossed the border illegally?

President Obama, Which Side Are You On?
The Obama administration gives away FIVE HIGH LEVEL TALIBAN JIHADISTS and we get a soldier who went AWOL that in all probability aided the enemy. What the friggin hell? Obama has either totally lost his mind, is insane, or he willingly gave aid to the people who are killing our soldiers, to the very people our soldiers are fighting, the enemy. Yes, Andrew C. McCarthy is correct in saying that we need to be focusing on the fact that President Obama has freed five high value Jihadist members of the Taliban and Haqqani network while the Taliban and Haqqani network are still fighting us trying to maim and kill our men and women serving in the Middle East. Forget about Obama having violated the NDAA's 30 day notice to congress. That's peanuts compared to him giving away five members of the enemy who want to kill Americans, our soldiers, while we are still at war with them. The GOP needs to get some cajones, get a backbone, and do what is right for this country. They need to stand up to our lawless President to support and defend the Constitution of the United States as their oath of office says.
Andrew C. McCarthy gives details explaining what is horribly wrong with the Obama trade.
Andrew C. McCarthy gives details explaining what is horribly wrong with the Obama trade.
The vital point here is that the president has returned five senior commanders to the Taliban and Haqqani networkwhile those violent jihadist organizations are still conducting offensive attacks against American troops, who are still in harm’s way and still conducting combat operations pursuant to a congressional authorization of military force. These terrorists were not exchanged in connection with a final peace settlement in which it would be appropriate to exchange detainees—after all, if there is no more war, even unlawful enemy combatant prisoners must be released unless they can be charged with crimes. While the president is obviously abandoning the war effort, it has not been fully abandoned yet. The Taliban and Haqqani have not surrendered or settled; they are still working hard to kill our troops. It is thus mind-bogglingly irresponsible for the commander-in-chief to replenish their upper ranks. The reason the laws of war permit enemy combatants to be detained until the conclusion of hostilities is humane: when enemy forces are depleted, they have a greater incentive to surrender, bringing a swifter, less bloody conclusion to the war. By giving the enemy back its most effective commanders, Obama, by contrast, endangers our forces, potentially extends the war, and otherwise makes it far more likely that the war will end on terms injurious to American interests. As I demonstrate in Faithless Execution, high crimes and misdemeanors are not primarily statutory offenses. They are the political wrongs of high public officials—the president, in particular—in whom great public trust is reposed. When the commander-in-chief replenishes the enemy at a time when (a) the enemy is still attacking our forces and (b) the commander-in-chief has hamstrung our forces with unconscionable combat rules-of-engagement that compromise their ability to defend themselves, that is a profound dereliction of duty. That’s what we ought to be outraged about. The chitter-chatter about a 30-day notice requirement is a sideshow. Yes, the president has once again violated a statute. And as I said in yesterday’s column, he undoubtedly did so in order to get the swap done before public and congressional protest could mount. But in the greater scheme of things, that’s a footnote to the real travesty.
What President Obama did is unbelievable! This president is twenty times worse than Carter. President Obama is dangerous for the United States.

RIP Maya Angelou
Today I woke up to the sad news of the passing of Maya Angelou. I enjoyed hearing her recite her poems on TV. I have read a few of her poems and really liked them. There is quite a bit of wisdom in her words. Rest In Peace Maya Angelou.
Here is a couple of her poems.
Here is a couple of her poems.
Touched by An Angel by Maya Angelou
We, unaccustomed to courage
exiles from delight
live coiled in shells of loneliness
until love leaves its high holy temple
and comes into our sight
to liberate us into life .
Love arrives
and in its train come ecstasies
old memories of pleasure
ancient histories of pain.
Yet if we are bold,
love strikes away the chains of fear
from our souls.
We are weaned from our timidity
In the flush of love's light
we dare be brave
And suddenly we see
that love costs all we are
and will ever be.
Yet it is only love
which sets us free .
Still I Rise by Maya Angelou
You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I'll rise.
Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
'Cause I walk like I've got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.
Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I'll rise.
Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops.
Weakened by my soulful cries.
Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don't you take it awful hard
'Cause I laugh like I've got gold mines
Diggin' in my own back yard.
You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I'll rise.
Does my sexiness upset you?
Does it come as a surprise
That I dance like I've got diamonds
At the meeting of my thighs?
Out of the huts of history's shame
I rise
Up from a past that's rooted in pain
I rise
I'm a black ocean, leaping and wide,
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
I rise
Into a daybreak that's wondrously clear
I rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
I rise
I rise
I rise.
Here are some quotes by Maya Angelou.
"All men are prepared to accomplish the incredible if their ideals are threatened."
"Courage is the most important of all the virtues, because without courage you can't practice any other virtue consistently. You can practice any virtue erratically, but nothing consistently without courage."
"Nothing will work unless you do."
"The quality of strength lined with tenderness is an unbeatable combination, as are intelligence and necessity when unblunted by formal education."

Segregation on Rise in Schools; Need Better Education Policies Failing
According to the AP a report by the Civil Rights Project at UCLA findings showed that segregation in schools is on the rise 60 years after the Brown Supreme Court decision. Blacks, Latinos, and other minorities are making up 90 percent of the students in a number of schools in New York, Texas, California, Maryland, Illinois, and Michigan.
The Civil Rights Project found that in central cities among the largest metropolitan areas contain more segregation than in suburban areas. Do you think as citizens that we segregate ourselves of our own volition? Lower middle class individuals hang round others in the lower middle class? Upper middle class associate with persons who are also in the upper middle class? Poor hang around other poor individuals? Wealthy hang out with those who are wealthy? Two things that probably transcend economics is certain groups or activities and religious communities.
One student in Chicago said that she had to transfer to another school due to hers not offering biology and world studies. These two classes are needed to graduate. There is absolutely no reason why a school in a poorer area doesn't teach all the courses necessary for graduation. I wonder if any classes being taught at the schools in poor sections of cities can be eliminated to make room for the necessary subjects to graduate?
I know teachers' unions are against vouchers as are most people working in public schools but I believe vouchers would be a good option for parents to send their children to different schools if the school they are going to is failing them or has subpar standards. Charter schools is another option for students to obtain a better education. Obviously improvements need to be made in schools which are in economically disadvantaged areas. Policies need to be changed so we don't fail the students by not giving them the tools they need in order to be successful in life.

"Many blame the schools for failing, or teachers, but they never blame the bad policies put in place in schools," Griffin said. "A teacher can only teach to a certain extent with the resources. It's the policies put in place that's failing the students."

Supreme Court Upholds Michigan Affirmative Action Ban
The Supreme Court has upheld Michigan's ban on using race as a consideration for college admissions.
From NY Post:
I believe this ruling and Michigan's ban is in line with Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream to be judged by content of character, not by the color of skin. This way the colleges reach decisions of acceptance based on grades, SAT/ACT scores, activities, as well as other considerations but skin color plays no part in whether a student is accepted or not.
From NY Post:
The Supreme Court on Tuesday upheld Michigan’s ban on using race as a factor in collegeadmissions .
The justices said in a 6-2 ruling that Michigan voters had the right to change their state constitution in 2006 to prohibit public colleges and universities from taking account of race in admissions decisions. The justices said that a lower federal court was wrong to set aside the change as discriminatory.
Justice Anthony Kennedy said voters chose to eliminate racial preferences, presumably because such a system could give rise to race-based resentment.
Kennedy said nothing in the Constitution or the court’s prior cases gives judges the authority to undermine the election results.
“This case is not about how the debate about racial preferences should be resolved. It is about who may resolve it,” Kennedy said.

In the news -- Wed April 16
I know for a while that I have been sparse with blog posts and visiting blogs. I hope this is the beginning of the easing of my pain. I finally was able to see the rheumatologist after waiting five months and so far I know I have fibromyalgia. Soon I will find out whether the blood tests showed anything else. Now I am on an anti-inflammatory, a strong one, which seems to be helping out a bit. Between that and nerve damage from endo my pain has been so extreme over the past year that I am praying I will be able to get the fibro under control.
Onto the news...
In an article in The Daily Mail Edward Lucas makes the case why he believes the Ukraine crisis could be the starting point for WWIII. That historians will look back and mark this as the starting point for WWIII. It could be. I wonder if the turmoil in the Ukraine is being blown out of proportion. Is Putin really so power hungry to continue on taking over more lands to reestablish a new U.S.S.R. A priest said that Putin is the most dangerous man right now. That could be debatable IMO. Do you think that Putin is the most dangerous leader at the present time?
According to this article FBI counterterrorism agents are making special visits to gun shops in South Carolina to look for "suspicious purchases" and anyone mentioning big government. You know because according to the federal government anyone who doesn't sing the praises of big government is considered "dangerous." People for limited common sense government just might be so "dangerous" to want to stop all the money Congress spends on frills, useless programs, and bribes used to pass bills. Of all the gall we conservatives want to make sure taxpayer money is allocated responsibly. How dare! Ya know why would we want to reduce the budget deficit? Or reduce the debt? This isn't surprising since conservatives, pro-lifers, and Veterans have been targets since being labeled "right-wing extremists" by the Dept. of Homeland Security in 09'. The FBI agents in South Carolina have classified "paying with cash" and "purchasing long guns" as "suspicious purchases." As you can see the federal government just likes to make our lives as much of a living hell as possible. The Obama government trying to make something out of nothing, bothering average citizens who enjoy taking advantage of rights accorded to them by the second amendment.
Here is an ad from Matt Rosendale, a congressional candidate in Montana.
Bravo! Totally love the ad!!
During his general audience today in St. Peter's Square Pope Francis stopped in his open-air car to greet a group of fifth graders from Perugia. The students gave the Pope a t-shirt. Then Pope Francis asked if anyone wanted to take a ride with him and the students shouted "Me! Me! Me!" Pope Francis picked two students to ride with him and they hopped aboard. Cool!!
His target is our inability to work with allies in defence against common threats. The profoundly depressing fact is that the events of the past few months, as Russia has annexed the Crimea and suppressed opposition in Ukraine, have shown the West to be divided, humiliated and powerless in the face of these land grabs. We are soon to face a bleak choice. We can chose to surrender any responsibility we have to protect Ukraine and the Baltic states — almost certainly Putin’s next target — from further Russian incursion. Or we can mount a last-ditch attempt to deter Russia from furthering its imperial ambitions.

Help Save Eliza's Life - Donate and Be Part of a Miracle
"Eliza O'Neill has a curable disease. The question is, will that cure come during her lifetime. See the amazing efforts to turn their hope into a reality!"
Eliza O’Neill Story
"Last July, our 4-year-old daughter Eliza was diagnosed with a rare terminal genetic disease called Sanfilippo Syndrome-Type A. In one terrifying instant, we were told that we would have to watch her fade away before our eyes.
"Eliza and other children with this disease are missing an essential enzyme for normal cellular function. Over time, a toxic material called heparan sulfate builds up in their brain and body leading to severe disability and death before they even reach their teens. This disease affects both genders, all races, all countries and continents. It is everywhere and the world needs to know."
There is a gene therapy trial scheduled for late 2014 but unfortunately it is lacking funding which means the trial will be delayed. Eliza will start to experience symptoms soon so time is of the essence for the trial to happen asap. Please go here to donate and help fund a cure for Eliza and other children who have this horrible disease.
I can't even imagine what this family is going through right now. Eliza, this precious little girl is happy, care free, and playful now but the future will be stark for this cute, precious little one if the funding needed for the cure doesn't come in time for Eliza. I will be remembering Eliza and her family in my prayers. Praying for a miracle - that a cure is found in time to save Eliza.

John Quincy Adams - Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people.
John Quincy Adams - America does not go abroad in search of monsters to destroy.

Intolerance by the Tolerant
Lawrence Torcello, a professor of philosophy from Rochester Institute of Technology, has called for 'deniers' of anthropomorphic climate change to be imprisoned. He said 'science misinformation' should be considered a crime. Professor Torcello is spouting intolerant, opinionated declarations as if man-made climate change has been proven scientifically. It hasn't. Man-made climate change (global warming) is a theory which has been politically propagandized to the point of putting undue pressure on the scientific community. Torcello admits that his proposal would violate the first amendment. Well what a reasonable guy he is. Wait!! Wait!! Just when I thought there was a glimmer of sensibility the professor said “We must make the critical distinction between the protected voicing of one’s unpopular beliefs, and the funding of a strategically organised campaign to undermine the public’s ability to develop and voice informed opinions.” He believes governments need to update their free speech laws. No man has the authority to take away free speech!
It looks like a good many Americans disagree with the professor.
The atheist group Freedom From Religion Foundation is demanding that Gov. Scott Walker delete a tweet. On Sunday Scott Walker tweeted "Philippians 4:13." In a letter the co-presidents wrote: "This braggadocio verse coming from a public official is rather disturbing,"wrote Gaylor and Barker to Walker. You know what is disturbing? Atheists with hutzpah who are clueless about free speech. Atheists who try to stifle free speech. These intolerant atheists need to take a course on the first amendment.
The Freedom From Religion Foundation strikes again. The radical atheist Gestapo-like organization sent a letter demanding the removal of The Ten Commandments monument on public property in Idaho. Around 500 people gathered in Sandpoint, Idaho to protest the monument's pending removal, to support the Ten Commandments display staying right where it is.

"I don't like this at all," said Gladys Larson to the Bonner County Daily Bee, "There's no way someone can come into our town and dictate what goes on here."
"The Ten Commandments monument was donated to Sandpoint in 1972 by a local chapter of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and was placed in Farmin Park."I am sick of spineless city officials giving into the offended while not giving a damn about local citizens constitutional rights. I am highly offended by this atheist supremacy that is happening all across our country.

Rick Santorum: Republicans Should Take a Lesson from Pope Francis
In his CPAC speech Rick Santorum said that Republicans should learn to better communicate their message. Republicans need to look at Pope Francis as an example of a person who communicates his message very well. Santorum said that Republicans should reach out to those who are suffering, talk about their positive policy agenda and spend less time courting business owners.
From Christian Post:
"I think we need to take a lesson from someone who is maybe the most popular person in the world right now — Pope Francis," he said.
Francis is "going out there and not talking about what the Christian faith is against. He's going out there and talking about what we're for. He hasn't changed a single policy. He won't change a single policy. But what he'll do is he'll go out there and talk about the good news to a hurting world because he believes that is what the world needs. It needs the Lord," he said.
"Well, we're not a religion," he continued, "and we're not going to go out there and talk about the good news. But what we need to do is go out and talk about the news of a good America and what that good America can be. We need to paint a picture for people. We need to use a brush where they see themselves in the painting. They see a part of their life, where they hear someone or see a policy and say, 'that's me.' We need to be the 'that's me' party.
Below is Rick Santorum's entire CPAC speech.

Leviathan Run Amok
The IRS is a prime example of leviathan run amok. IRS employees abused their power when they targeted conservative groups. The IRS is a gigantic government agency with way too much power which enables and covers up criminal behavior. There needs to be substantial change and a reduction of power in the IRS. Rep. Dave Camp's legislation is a start. One of the proposed reforms in Camp's bill is a change to Internal Revenue Code 6103 which "would require the government to disclose to victims both the status of an investigation as well as its result, including the identity of the perpetrator." Currently, the same law that makes it illegal to leak confidential tax records also covers the butts of offenders who violate that same law. That is friggin nonsensical. Corrupt to the core. And we're supposed to trust the IRS with the fair collection of Obamacare taxes?

Black Civil Rights Leaders, Pastors Call for Impeachment of Holder
Recently Eric Holder had the audacity to tell states that they didn't have to enforce any laws which oppose same-sex "marriage". I have news for Holder. This is not a freaking dictatorship!!!! I'm sure he would love for our country to be under a dictatorship. America is the land of freedom. America is by and for the people. So Holder and whomever else likes Kings, dictators, or Communism, can get the heck out of the U.S. and live in some other country that has a dictator or king as the leader if they want total control over people and don't support freedom for all citizens. The United States is a constitutional republic made up of laws. State and federal government are obligated to enforce the laws of the land. There is a process by which bills become laws. The leaders described several instances of Holder trying to impose same sex "marriage" on the U.S. all the while ignoring federal law and state constitutions. The lawlessness of this administration cannot be condoned. Eric Holder needs to be held accountable for his actions.
A coalition of black civil rights leaders and pastors said:
Yes indeed. Holder should be impeached.
A coalition of black civil rights leaders and pastors said:
“The Attorney General of the United States should be impeached over his repeated lawlessness in attempting to impose same-sex marriage throughout the nation,” said Reverend Bill Owens, CAAP Founder and President. “It’s one thing to make a political argument that gay marriage should be the law, but it’s quite another to take actions that ignore federal law, Supreme Court rulings, and the constitutions of dozens of states that have specifically rejected the redefinition of marriage which the administration is trying to impose.”
“As much as President Obama and Attorney General Holder would like it to be otherwise, we live in a democracy—with government of, by, and for the people—not a monarchy ruled by a king issuing decrees from on high,” Reverend Owens continued. “The citizens of several states who have voted overwhelmingly to preserve marriage have had their votes voided and thrown out by radical federal judges; and the Obama administration—in particular the Justice Department—has been shamefully complicit in this attack on the rights of those voters.”
Yes indeed. Holder should be impeached.

The State is Out of Control!!
The State is out of control!! We have the Department of Health and Human Services using coercion to force businesses, universities, and religious communities to provide services - contraception, abortion inducing drugs, and sterilization - that they ( Yes progressives universities, businesses, and religious communities are run by people, consist of people, who hold beliefs) believe are intrinsically evil. The State is trying to force them to contribute money to health insurance which would cover these "medical procedures" (killing a person is not medicine) which violates their beliefs, goes against their conscience and clearly violates their first amendment rights. I fully agree with Archbishop Chaput's words when he says, "the more that government mandates evil actions the more likely civil disobedience becomes." Wake up people! Rise up people! Let us stand up against our coercive government. What the hell is with the white queen (The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe) a.k.a. Sebelius and the Obama government going after nuns? That's wrong on so many levels. President Obama talked about religious freedom at the prayer breakfast while at the same time his administration is working hard to violate thousands of citizens religious freedom. The disconnect is staggering and mind boggling.
Now we have a case of a 15-year-old girl having been taken away from her parents because the parents disagreed with one hospital's diagnosis which differed from another hospital's diagnosis. Justina Pelletier was receiving treatment for mitochondrial disease at Tufts Medical Center. After being diagnosed and treated at Tufts, Boston Children's Hospital diagnosed Justina with somatoform disorder. Justina's parents lost custody of her a year ago. There is absolutely no justification for her parents losing custody. Since Justina isn't receiving treatment for mitochondrial disease her health has been deteriorating rapidly. Her parents are fighting to regain custody of their daughter. Time is of the essence due to the teen's health. The State Aaaaahhhh!!!! WTH?!? The State is out of control!! This is unconscionable!! It is extremely sad that our liberties have eroded so much and the state of our nation has deteriorated so badly. This family's plight is heart wrenching. This deeply saddens me, gets me fired up, and ticks me off that the State has abused its power so much so to be a giant bully.
This week the Massachusetts Department of Children & Families filed for Justina's father to be held in contempt of court for speaking to The Blaze which most likely violated a judge's gag order. Lou Pelletier, Justina's father, had to find a way for the maltreatment of his daughter and unjust actions committed by Boston Children's Hospital and Massachusetts Dept. of Children and Families to come to light. The Pelletier Family is in need of financial help because of the cost of the custody battle. If anyone would like to donate you can go to FreeJustina.com.
Those are just two examples of our government having run amok.
